The Native

Description

The Native by Weldon Kirk

Floating into a summer evening on the Yellowstone River is about as good as it gets.  If the wind is down and the fish are up, it’s not too difficult to understand how the valley got its name.  It’s a piece of paradise.  The encounter with the Yellowstone cutthroat is special.  It’s the species of trout native to this part of the country.
